Thoughts

Kind of feeling like a senile person, desperately trying to hold on to her memories.

Though I'm not senile. But I think I should try to pen down my thoughts, because so many of them run in my head, and I actually feel something about those thoughts. And if I don't pen them down, they're lost forever in the abyss of my mind. 

Anyway.

Went to church today. During pre-service prayer, I saw this pair of brothers praying for each other. And I just felt very touched. They're not like kids.. like 21 years old and his older brother. And they're quite like big size, those macho-looking kind I would say.. But the elder brother was like putting his hand around his younger brother and praying for him, praying in his ear. It just touched me I guess, because of the love they had, and they're not embarrassed by it. They shouldn't be anyway. Just a really love-ly sight. 

And then we had service.

And again again again, I am still so amazed. That I am worshipping and praising the very same God who spoke the earth into creation, the very same God in Genesis who made man, the same God of Abraham Isaac Jacob Joseph, the same God who brought Israel out. It's amazing, and He loves me so deeply, I cannot comprehend. How amazing is that.

unistuff

On another note, now that holidays are over.. it's back to non-holiday mode. Which is basically settling uni stuff. I haven't been offered Imperial.. I think they'd want me to take STEP, and thing is I'm not sure if I want to. It's really quite difficult, and also, even if I do, there is no guarantees. Really stuck again.

And, idk, just find that when faced with another crossroad, it seems difficult to make a decision. Not so of the repercussions of my decisions, but more that, I want to make the decision that would please God, that He would want me to make, but I have no idea which it is. Yeah, I pray of course, but… well sometimes God just doesn't reply, or I just don't hear it. I dk, but anyway, I am stuck.

And yeah, I just want to make the choice that God wants me to. But it's difficult, because I don't know which it is!

HongKong Jan 2014

So I just came back from HongKong. Went there for 7 days, and was really more ambitious, as I planned to hike to more places. But my period came, and I was really weak, with cold and flu and sore throat. I did however managed to complete 2 of my originally planned hikes, so I think it's pretty good. Considering I am NOT  a hiker.

So on day 1, I was alone and I just shopped and bought so many things, but really happy with this pair of cools heels for only 50HKD which comes to about less than $9SGD. Great!!! Really covered a lot of places on my own, walking everywhere. Plus I walk pretty fast.

Day 2, Nic came and we went to some places.

Day 3, we rested today as well, just going to places and chilling. Think we went to Stanley. Here's some pics.

 At night, we went to a hostel in Nong Ping, so that we can wake up early to climb Lantau's peak. It's about SGD15 per night, but……. let's just say you get what you pay for haha. Not very clean, but I guess we only needed to sleep right.

Day 4, we woke at 3 and ate and set off for our climb. It wasn't as tiring as bluff knoll in perth. Took about an hour and a half. I think it's pretty decent, given I haven't exercised. We reached the top and froze for an hour and a half, because the sunrise is at 7 am!!!! It's seriously the coldest I've ever been in my whole life, with the merciless brutal chilling winds!!! It's horrible. Worse than the climb up. HORRIBLE. But here's what I was rewarded with:

Yup. Really tired, headed back and crashed.
Next day went to saikung to take on the maclehose trail. LOL we nearly got lost and had to spend the night lost but thank God we met other hikers who brought us out. Amazing. But… here are more amazing views:

Who would have thought, there'd be such views in hk! I always thought hk is like singapore, with only cities and cities and buildings and food and shopping. but trekking/hiking?! and there are more amazing sighs. check out hikehongkong.bs if you're interested. Really great blog i find. 

Also, really did not manage to keep up with my reflections for XWO, but I did manage to keep up with XWO. Genesis is really interesting, and amazing, and there's so much more to it, if we actually took time to analyse the characters in depth. Amazing people of faith, with Abraham, aka Father of faith or smth like that, Isaac, Jacob aka Isarael, Joseph etc. I find that it gave me a clearer picture of what's going on, and now i know oh like this israel mentioned here is actually descendants of abraham jacob etc etc. good stuff.

XWO: Genesis 11-20

God is really old :O or really, He's infinite but my puny human brain can't comprehend a being like that :O but it's amazing.
Anw thought of this, coz the stuff that happened in those chapters are really based on OT's laws and stuff, and totally unheard of currently, as in people won't do that. Like what there are no males and you can't continue family line so you go and sleep with your father. Like WHAT no way in hell. Also, gen 18 confused me like what???? God came down as human?! Or He came down in His form. Oh wait that makes sense, coz we were made in His image. But still what God came down?! God must have loved Abraham, that He'd want to tell Abraham directly...?! Abraham must be really faithful. Ok anw. Yeah, so I've always wondered like why isn't the bible entirely relevant tdy?! Like parts in the OT and I went to faith life study app to check it out and they really explained it well. Amazing, so much revelation to me. Check it out if you're like me. Xtreme workout: Genesis 1-10

Ok so I was kind of confused about the conversation between Eve and Satan. Not exactly sure what Satan was trying to do and Eve's reaction...?! But anw. God must have been devastated! He had to destroy His own creation, because we're all evil. But I'm rly thankful and aww at His covenant with us: rainbows! Haha. Ok brain not working. At hk now typing this. Day 1. So tired :O
