Post golden week: Tokyo to meet Aud and Ben

ok this is from my sch canteen.... **LOL**. i hardly eat in school, so i took a pic. i've been packing lunches to school since after golden week until maybe end of may **lol**. that's how broke i've been.

THIS was from tokyo. i grabbed an overnight bus from sendai to tokyo, only 3000Y and prob off peak, coz no one sat with me. reached real early, so grabbed bbt from Tully's and caught up on some work, while waiting for Aud to land, settle in and meet me at Shinagawa station.

she came with Doris, we bought the Maguro tickets (you can buy this form the machine, on your own. select English language and u can find it under the special tickets. we didn't know this, we spent super long googling info on how to get tickets and what was the exact price. erm.. it's like 3000Y or smth. definitely not 5000Y. that's for 2 days.)

so we took the train from Shinagawa, about 45 minutes train ride.  we all fell asleep, and we woke up, as the train arrived in the sleepy time. think we ended at jogoshima station or smth. then u get out, grab the bus. instructions were pretty clear. the bus was about 30 minutes, to the "town center", but it's not really a center.... it  seemed to be the most bustling. the town was pretty.. sleepy. not exactly dead, but it was quiet, and quite little ppl.

so the maguro ticket got you a meal, so we picked this restaurant and entered. this was a good deal, because this would have caused 1200Y on its own. it was pretty good, the maguro was not bad, but the uni was still a little disappointing. and that side dish? i think it's like fish liver or smth. i didn't like it *lol*.

then we decided to walk to the other side, so some park. where there were apparently many cats.

the view otw

so... there weren't that many cats **LOL**. only like 2 or 3. sad.

then we walked to another onsen place. oh wait, we didn't walk. we took the bus. btw note the bus timings, and especially the last bus timings, because the buses are not frequent.

the onsen place closed at like... 6pm or so. we got there around 5.30pm haha and the let us in. it was pretty good, with outdoor onsen too.

we grabbed a train back, and reached tokyo around.. 8pm?

and we had this AMAZING TSUKEMEN best ever in my life. the noodles were amazing. they were really thick, like udon, but so good???? so chewy, texture just right. u can see the grains in the noodles. the queue is really long **lol**. it's called Rokurinsha, u can google it. SO GOOD. best ever, i couldn't stop raving about it. BUT the normal sized bowl is HUGE. i struggled to finish it. and guys around us ate like the huge portion and finished it way faster than us.

the next day, met aud at shinjuku, walked around then we trained to setagaya. found this totoro cafe, and i met (Aw) Wanping there!! i was surprised omg. yeah anw these totoro creampuffs were.... kinda overrated. the crust wasn't too good. it was too hard. but the cream was good. we each got a different flavour, and u can tell the difference from the thing on the head hahah.

then we walked around for super long, and i saw this. looks good.

cat vending machine?? SUPER CUTE RIGHT hahaha. then we headed to meet ben for dinner at b1 of tokyu department store in Shibuya.

and it's true. fresh enough sushi, for good price.

then we went to some random place for shibuya toast. this dude was HUGE. but the place was kinda bad, coz super smelly. we shared this, me sinzhi ben aud doris.
after that i caught my bus back to sendai.
